Healthcare Automation Enhances HomecareNet's Superior Document Tracking Features With RemitDATA Partnership
Warwick, RI (April 16, 2007) -
Healthcare Automation, Inc. (HAI) is pleased to announce a partnership with RemitDATA® to bring WebScan PRO™ technology to HomecareNet users, enhancing the already powerful document tracking features of HomecareNet with a web-based document management system.
"We already provide the most modern architecture and the best software in the industry, so we feel we're on the cutting edge of home care technology," says CEO Ken Pereira. "Our partnership with RemitDATA means we can offer the best scanning, optical character recognition (OCR) and document management solution along with the superior clinical and reimbursement features of HomecareNet."
Enhancing HomecareNet's already robust document tracking features -- including creation and tracking of all industry-standard forms - WebScan PRO is a powerful document management solution that works via the web. WebScan PRO allows users to scan, classify and store completed and/or signed documents from physicians, patients, providers and personnel.
"There's no limit to the type of documents that can be scanned and stored," says Michael Sanderson, President, RemitDATA. "We have clients storing CMNs, EOBs, invoices, employment documents, A/P information, patient satisfaction surveys, and more." Documents are all accessible directly through a HomecareNet interface, allowing customers to streamline storage and server space.
Using WebScan PRO is as simple as using a scanner. "You can simply scan a batch of documents into a network folder and WebScan automatically detects the new batch," says Sanderson. "WebScan then securely uploads the documents and automatically categorizes them for use throughout the application." RemitDATA uses sophisticated optical character recognition and classification technology to assess the documents and categorize them based on customer-established rules. HAI offers this solution to its customers without up-front licensing fees and uses the technology itself at its own reimbursement center operations.
This recent partnership is just one example of the partnerships Healthcare Automation makes to ensure its software offers the best possible user experience. "We're part of a constantly changing industry that requires the adoption of new trends and regulations," says Pereira. "We work with our partners to anticipate these changes and ensure that HomecareNet adapts to remain the best software in home infusion, DME/RT and home health."
"HAI listens to the marketplace," says Pereira. "With our customer steering committee and diverse clients throughout the industry, we're able to assess their needs and bring them new features and functionality early and often."
